LEPs specialize in psychoeducational evaluations, consultations, and mental health supports related to learning and development.

  • 📝 What is a psychoeducational evaluation?

    It’s a comprehensive assessment of how a student learns, thinks, behaves, and processes information. These evaluations typically explore cognitive abilities, academic achievement, executive functioning, processing skills, and social-emotional development.

  • 🕒 How long does the assessment process take?

    Evaluations typically take 4–6 weeks from intake to final report, depending on the referral question, testing schedule, and any school collaboration needed. I’ll always give you a clear timeline up front!

  • 💬 Do you offer virtual assessments?

    Yes! Many components of the evaluation can be completed virtually, and I also offer in-person services depending on your location. We’ll decide together what works best for your child and the referral question.

  • 🧾 Do you take insurance?

    Not at this time. BridgEdPsych is a private-pay practice, but I can provide a superbill upon request, which you may submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

  • Who is the CEO & Founder of BridgEdPsych?

    Ashley Burciaga, EdD, is an experienced School Psychologist with 21 years of experience working with kids with dis/abilities. She has a Doctorate in Human Rights Education from the University of San Francisco and has worked extensively with students with complex needs, including those with emotional and behavioral difficulties, and those attending non-public schools and residential treatment centers. She is highly regarded for her expertise in special education, social-emotional assessments, and her dedication to ethical and equity-focused practice.
