A cognitive or IQ test can help if you think your child is gifted or want to understand how they learn best. This test, also called an intelligence test, shows how your child thinks and learns, guiding their education. It’s often needed for students applying to Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) programs.

Signs your child might be gifted include learning quickly and getting bored with normal schoolwork. They may also want harder challenges than what school offers.
