Meet Ashley Burciaga, EdD, LEP #4706
Hi!
I’m Ashley
— a Licensed Educational Psychologist, school psych by training, and systems-level thinker at heart. I founded BridgEdPsych to bring thoughtful, equity-centered, and legally grounded assessments to families and districts who want more than just compliance—they want clarity, connection, and care.
After more than a decade in public education, I saw the need for evaluations that didn’t just check boxes, but told real stories. Stories that reflected a child’s whole self—not just test scores. Stories that helped districts make better decisions, and helped parents understand their child with confidence.
So I created BridgEdPsych: A practice built on the belief that culturally responsive, neuro-affirming, and data-driven evaluations can coexist. And that advocacy works best when it's collaborative.
I’m also a mom of two, a firm believer in humor as a coping strategy, and someone who loves being outdoors, reading my kindle, and finding a new DIY project to start before finishing the last one.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every brain is wired uniquely, and that understanding how we think, learn, and relate to others is a powerful form of self-advocacy. I view diagnoses like ADHD and autism not as deficits, but as differences—each with its own strengths and challenges. I believe in meeting clients where they are, without shame or pressure to "fix" themselves. I value honesty, humor, and humanity in the therapy and assessment process. I believe that culturally responsive, trauma-informed care is essential, and that healing often starts with being seen and heard for who you truly are. I believe clarity is empowering—whether through a diagnosis, new insight, or simply putting the puzzle pieces together. You deserve support that honors your lived experience and gives you tools to move forward with confidence.
